Ladies and Gentlemen,

Dear Colleagues,

The 11th Conference of the European Ceramic Society will be held June 21-25, 2009, in Krakow, Poland, organized by the Polish Ceramic Society. The goal is to engage the worldwide ceramic community in a collective effort to expand the knowledge and use of ceramic materials in both conventional as well as new exciting applications. Following previous Conferences the programme is dedicated to advanced ceramic, glass building and binding materials. The invited presentations will reflect the emerging concepts in these topics.
The organizers kindly invite all research workers, engineers and students interested in the ceramic materials in their broad sense to participate in the Conference.
The conference venue as well as the hotels are located in the old part of the city, well known for its art collections and architectural treasures, which were put on the UNESCO list of the Cultural Heritage in 1978. The heart of Krakow - the Main Market Square, which is located only a few steps from the conference venue, with its' historical monuments, numerous cafes, sound of bugle call from Mariacki Church - will lay a spell on our participants.
We do believe that the unique atmosphere of the city will inspire you to lively discussions and will be a great opportunity to meet friends.
